Oldest Justice & Social Reform Institution of Leva Community

Introduction

Bhorgaon Leva Panchayat was established in Padalse village, Yawal Taluka, Jalgaon District. Since 1850, it has served as a respected justice-based organization for the Leva Patil community.

Historical Timeline

1850

Judicial work restarted under Bhikhu Saudhu Patil (Police Patil of Padalse).

1850 – 1916

Leadership under Bhikhu Saudhu Patil. Panchayat gained social respect.

1916 – 1966

Leadership continued by Bithu Ganu Patil. Expansion of social activities.

From 2 April 1966 – 2025

Leadership under Ramesh Vithu Patil. Modern reforms introduced.

1984

Major reform period. Legal structure introduced. Women participation started.

4 February 2018

4th National Mahadhiveshan held at Padalse with 60,000+ members.

2025 - Present

Leadership under Lalitkumar Ramesh Patil.
